Docs/Site settings/Exclude traffic

Exclude traffic

Keep your own visits, internal tools and bots out of the data.

Keep your numbers honest by excluding traffic you don't want counted — your own visits, your office, staging tools or noisy paths. Manage it all under Site → Settings → Exclusions.

What you can exclude

  • IP addresses — traffic from these IPs is never counted. Supports * wildcards, e.g. 192.168.* for a whole office range.
  • Paths — URL paths to ignore, e.g. /admin* or /preview. Useful for internal tools and previews.
  • Hostnames — drop traffic from staging or alternate domains, e.g. staging.yoursite.com.

How it works

Each exclusion is matched as events arrive, so excluded traffic simply never enters your reports — it isn't "filtered later", it's dropped at the door. Add an entry and click Add; remove one anytime with the ✕ on its chip.

Note: Excluding your own IP is the quickest way to stop your own browsing from inflating your stats. Find your IP by searching "what is my IP".
